St. Dorothy's, Vere, and the existing parish of Clarendon are the three smaller parishes that comprise the current region Clarendon, making it the one of the youngest parishes in Jamaica. Salt River is a tourist attraction based on its mineral water, which allegedly has healing properties. Another mineral bath within the parish is Milk River.
